Yes they definitely need something! And/or more time outside. I only gave them a dirt clump once and brought them outside only once. :hide

I can’t believe they are so old already lol

Go find a box or something and make them a dirt play area.

I did turn their heat off though at least. And last night I turned it down from 4 to 3 because they were all at the very front with their little heads poking out but still partially under so I figured they were either too hot or too big and lowered the temp. Will try to raise the cave later too but I think it’s still fine. They fit under it. Also I turned it down from 3 to 2 this morning since it was so muggy/humid and warm. Now this afternoon it is no longer humid but is over 80 degrees so when I got back a few hours ago I turned it off completely ha will turn it back on tonight. But they do not need it lol although it is slightly cooler in the coop than outside but still. Plenty warm enough ha

Hail up to softball size with 5-7 inches of rain predicted in our area.
We have battened down the hatches, fed and watered every pen, filled all outside water tanks, have drawn up water in the house and I have a stocked larder. All batteries are charged and the go bags are ready.
Changed hubby's dr appt since the worst of the storm will begin in our area when we would have been heading out.

Picked peas and am shelling now...while we wait for the storm.

My mother and brother drove through Moore the day of that tornado. They had to stop in Edmund because they couldn’t see the hood of the car due to the rain. That was such a terrifying day.

LOL! No. I think I've picked them up once each other than putting them in the brooder pen. Yes it was more pekin. I forgot my phone when I was doing my chicken chores. I'll go out in a bit to snap pics.
