➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I never clicked on this thread as I had no idea that a Balut egg wasn't a regular egg from a Balut breed of duck...but now I fell prey to it and started reading. I have stuff to do and don't have time to read over 400 pages...did these eggs hatch?

The original 2 balut duck eggs did not, but only because I overheated the bator.
The 4 chicken balut eggs were dead before I even made it home with them.
Thursday I will be getting new balut duck eggs that will hatch.

Unfortunately no. Bator complications got them too hot. She is trying again.

Oh I agree on that I just don't see why people would waste money on buying white eggs to dye is all also want to add over here in the UK they don't sell white eggs like they do in the states all our eggs a light-dark brown lol.

Found that out the hard way. First time I flew to England to visit my "Now husband" was an Easter break. I packed egg coloring kits to surprise him. The surprise was on me! Not a white egg to be found!

All natural ways to dye egg. Cabbage, turmeric, beets, or coffee.

Also onion skins for yellow and red cabbage for a purplish color. I did this with my grandkids several years ago. I just hard boiled the eggs along with the intended dye. It took several pots for each individual color but the results were beautiful.
