➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I’m finally trying to figure out a plan to move the chickens up here to my house.

I’m thinking electric poultry netting is the way to go. I can rotate and section off areas of the backyard and provide separate cover from hawks. My MIL has a roll that she’s giving me, but no energizer box to go with it. Unfortunately, they’re not exactly... in my budget right now, but I’m shopping around and planning anyway.
Does anyone have any opinions or experiences with this?

I use the goat sized version to keep the bears out of my coop. It's gridded largely enough that the chickens just squeeze through it, but the fat ones don't make any attempt to fly over if they can't get through. I'm going to set up an independent battery soon so I can give the goats a moveable enclosure rather than the one wired into the coop battery.

Wait....are you going to sneak them in? With a coop or just netting?

I already have the netting, it’s the 4ft poultry kind. I’m just shopping around for a cheap but effective power box.

Both. I figure the netting will keep them off the patio and safe from the dogs. I’d lock up the coop overnight.
I want to use the same coop that’s at my parent’s property right now. I know I can get it on a trailer with a tractor, but I don’t know how to get it into my backyard.. my gates are too narrow and it’s heavy AF. Problem. Help.

Haven’t talked to any neighbors yet. I’m too anxious they’re going to kick up a fuss.

Gotcha. I'll see if I can find the receipt for what I bought.

:love I’ll probably end up with the $150 one. I guess I was hoping there was a magical $50 fix out there but $150 seems to be on the cheap end.. bleh.

Any idea how to sweet talk neighbors? I’m not so good with the animals known as humans.
It was wicked expensive. I hope I don't have to replace any of it any time soon.

Good question. I can't quite figure them out either. Maybe humans like ham scraps? You can throw them some.

 Yep, throw dead pig at me and I'll be your best friend.

Take down the fence section. If you can't go around it, go through it.
