I picked cherries this morning. The pie is just about cool enough to cut. i also made one batch of cherry jam. I still have one more tree to pick.

The doe and fawns were back yesterday evening.

Is it wrong that I wanted a photo of the pie?

They are twins. The most common deer births other than a first time mother is twins. Yes they are both hers. I just took a photo of her buck that she had two years ago. I see her last year's buck and his twin sister regularly.

I actually do recognize your name and figured we met on this thread but wasn’t entirely sure haha but now that I’m thinking on it more, I do remember we talked some, but at first I wasn’t sure how long you’d been gone or if it was from before I joined or not but I’m now pretty positive I do recognize you, just took a minute haha, and I’m sorry I was so unsure at first haha I was like pretty positive we had talked before and recognized you but didn’t wanna be awkward and say I did if I didn’t do wanted to be 100% sure haha weird, I know.

Yea well, turns out being a herm—uh, homebody, isn’t good for maintaining relationships. I’m working on it.

But nope, I’m still a decent ways off from a doctorate. I just got accepted into the Biomedical science department at A&M, so in less than two years I will have my bachelors in biomedical/animal science. After that is 4 years of vet school.

I’m 21 and the average admittance age to vet school is 24, so I feel on par (or slightly ahead) for the course.

I was more concerned about catching 14 newly hatched turkeys than I was about taking a picture of the pie. I really wish I could have gotten a photo of the little beauties while they were in the bucket.

Hmmph. You could have at least taken a pie slice photo. Sour cherry pie is my favorite. I also love eating just plain sour cherries off the tree, warmed from the sun. Delicious.
