I didn’t think I wanted white birds or solid colors at first, thought it was boring, but I love my leghorn. She’s got sooo much personality haha

Lol this was supposed to say "loving" white chickens!

I have zero prob with leghorns but having a backyard flock that stays in the coop and run most of the time I prefer something a little calmer and that won't mind being cooped. (I didn't even mean to post that comment. Forgot I had started typing it when I relied to conan. )

I wasn’t sure if it was loving white chickens or not! Haha thought it kinda sounded like it but wasn’t sure.

Yeah, that makes sense but tbh mine are cooped the majority of the time too and so far she’s fine with it. I did put some perches up in the run a few weeks ago and she does love using those and flying up to them. And tbh I had read about them being flighty too so almost didn’t get them because of that but I wanted some really good layers and I had read a lot about them having great personalities so I got one and I don’t really find her flighty at all at least not so far. And she definitely has sooo much personality and am glad I got her. She is amazing. She is bold, sassy, curious. Flies right up to the perch nearest the fence (along with her 2 besties) to check me out/say hi when I come outside haha she’s definitely alert but she’s bold and sassy and not afraid of anything haha

But I totally understand not wanting to risk it or whatever but just figured I’d point it out because I was worried about the flightiness too but mine’s amazing.

I have Easter Eggers, Buff Orpingtons, and Black Australorps for adults (2 each) and I had a Barred Rock until a few weeks ago and a third Orpington until about 2 years ago and then the chicks are one each of Delaware, Speckled Sussex, Partridge Rock, White Leghorn, and another Easter Egger and so far I love all of them. The adults are almost 4 years old now and still going strong ha

Oh and today’s harvest picked just a little bit ago. Got some seriously freaking HUGE green beans!! LOL

And the week before, the 30th, one of, if not the, first harvests we got this year. Planted pretty late haha

Slight change of plans, now going to the movies with my friend and her family at 6:30, so about to eat lunch and then clean out the car. Been moving pretty slowly today but did get some stuff done, just not quite what or as much as I wanted. But going to at least clean something today haha and then maybe I’ll start with my room after I do the car. Gonna start by sorting clothes so gotta get the clothes outta the car anyway. And I did feed and water the chickens, water the garden, pick some vegetables and collect eggs, and cook the chickens up a bunch of old eggs no one is eating. So at least it’s something haha

If your room/clothes mess isn't cleaned by 6 you wouldn't be going to the movies...if it were up to me.
You have hours...hours to get stuff done.

Yeah, idk, I was gonna try to force myself to adhere to that rule, I thought of it myself too that I shouldn’t be going unless I get something done, but then I haven’t seen these friends in forever and I definitely need more IRL friends haha

But it’s still a ton of time if I actually work. And I just downed some caffeine and cleaned my pans from lunch so I’m good to go haha

Lots of reasons. Mainly that sometimes I’m a bit indecisive when getting dressed and bring multiple shorts or shirts downstairs and then all the way out to the car in case I want to change later which of course never happens and some I have from trips or whatever and don’t take out right away or I take the main bag out but some items get left behind, and some of it I purposely leave some clothes in the car in case I ever need them or anything. Idk. Mostly, right now, it’s a lot of buildup from all those reasons. And then there’s a lot of bags and miscellaneous stuff in there too. Some of the bags have clothes. Most have a mix. I tend to just throw stuff in the car or in the back.

Cleaning it now.
