Blooie, that EE looks just like my certifiable crazy EE. She was oh so slow to start laying (10 months) but her eggs are a gorgeous shade of blue, and they are massive. This gal is such a nut case. I had her on the short list for culling b/c she was so crazy. But since she started laying the crazy is toned down a notch or two to a dull roar. She's an amusing gal.

OMG Kiki, I came back from a wedding and this thread EXPLODED....thanks for the hundreds of posts about your freaky balut eggs I have to obsessively pore through now!

I'm sorry, but this is one of the funniest stories ever! Died when I saw the "Ballut Duck Eggs" sign, lol!

The egg darkens rapidly as the CAM develops. So, it could be just because it's hitting that point.

It’s just good ole Agatha, LG....she was Scout’s mom and Katie’s girl from day one! Sounds like you have her clone!
