I’m full of motivation after the conference. I’m just SO anxious. I HATE not knowing my way around a campus and having a new schedule.
Hubby told me that he wants me to get a bus pass because he’s concerned for my safety when I’m walking all the way across campus from my allocated parking lot.
Gee, that really helps my anxiety.. not.

It would be a good idea just to have one on hand in my opinion. I just know all the buses around UTA never picked anyone up even if they would wave them down, they just drove around campus.

Australorps are the black ones and that’s about it for guessing.

Yup!! Named cause I like horses and that book/movie and they’re both black like the horse lmao

And yeah... thinking about it, they’re actually more original this time.

Amber and Angel are both Buff Orpingtons. Penny was too. Amber and Penny were named based on colors. Angel originally was too but somehow landed with a unique name. I think I actually forgot her name and renamed her a while ago.

Bunny and Diva are Easter Eggers. Bunny for obvious, unoriginal reasons. Diva actually got it based on personality cause one time everyone was dust bathing in the run and the others all got up eventually but Diva WOULD NOT and was just basking in the sun for forever, you know, being a diva lmao she didn’t get up until her sister literally ran over/on top of her like “come on sis, get up” so that’s that.

May (short for Mayflower) was named because she was a Barred Plymouth Rock so she was named because of.... well.... The Mayflower. Pilgrims. Plymouth. Plymouth Rock. Very original.

The littles are actually much more original haha Sweetpea is named because she’s.... well.... a sweetpea. she’s very cuddly and is the one that fell asleep in my lap multiple times and tried dustbathing in my sweatshirt LOL she is a Delaware.

Little One I honestly just kind of started calling her that and it just stuck. I keep trying to think of a better name for her but I keep just going back to Little One haha I think it’s kinda cute tbh. she’s a White Leghorn.

The last 3 were just named a couple weeks ago haha

Peach I just started calling her that and tested a couple names on her and she responded to peach. She’s kind of got a peachy gold color on her along with kind of lavender ish. She’s very pretty imo. She’s an Easter Egger.

Poppy just all of a sudden popped into my head when I was trying to think of a name for her. She kind of looks like she has flowers or poppies on her. Although tbh I really didn’t even know what a poppy looked like or if she looked like one, I just liked the name. she is a Speckled Sussex.

Autumn I again just kinda came up with it and I like it. She kind of looks like fall or leaves or whatever with her dark brown partridge pattern as a bit of orangey/rust or lighter mahogany showing too. Poppy probably looks more like fall and fall foliage than Autumn does but oh well haha she is a Partridge Rock.

So yeah. That’s that.

I’m really not ready to start classes again. I’m excited for the classes but I’m already so mentally tired and not prepared for the drive. I just cannot get motivated. Some motivation better happen before Monday.

I found a King snake today in the carport...3.5 feet long. Glad hubby didn't see it. It slithered off thru the cannas.


Not now. I did years before we bought the farm. I wanted to get one again. Hubby nixed the idea of horses. His daughter was 4 when she was run over by a friend's frightened horse...injury to back of her head. Thankfully nothing serious.


Too funny!

After breakfast out, picked up cow feed and chicken feed.
I mowed the yard after getting the flats fixed.
Attended BIL's 50th anniversary celebration.
Hubby took me out for a steak dinner too!
Rarely eat out so this was a double treat day.

I have very typical exercise induced asthma (same as my mum), but also have unpredictable “attacks” at night that we haven’t quite figured out.
I need to see an allergist pretty soon anyway. I’m allergic to cats and probably horses. Need to get started on those lovely expensive allergy shots pretty soon for obvious reasons.

I have pics of jackrabbits, ground squirrels, prairie dogs and even chipmunks too. There is even one of a Bald Eagle with a jackrabbit.
