Wait who’s dog is she? Your parents?

And omg that’s adorable yet hilarious haha so she must be part ridgeback then?? Maybe??
Yes she lives with my parents. They were/are my dogs but it would be unfair to take them away from my younger brothers.
Also I can’t financially support 4 dogs and Clementine hates Theia lmao.

I’d love to get her DNA tested, she’s a funny little dog.

I've been wanting to DNA test my rescue dog tallulah. She's clearly a terrier of some sort but I can't quite pin point what all makes her. I suspect she was bred as a feist, as that's a common squirrel breed in a lot of the very rural areas here especially the area around the shelter I adopted her, but I'd love to see what all was used to create her or what all just happens to be there, as those dogs are still mostly bred for purpose as opposed to standard so there's really no telling what I'd find.

Aww I hope you can one day!! She sounds like a neat little dog!! Also idk if you know or not yet but just FYI a lot of the DNA tests are pretty inaccurate sadly but there’s two that are supposed to be the most accurate Wisdom Panel and Embark. Embark is pretty expensive but it also includes a lot of other cool genetic info like it tests for a ton of different diseases and sensitivities or risk factors or whatever and stuff which can be cool to know if you’re into that and I think it’s run by a university and supposedly tests for way more generic markers than other tests so it can be worth it if you want to know super specific stuff or want super accuracy or whatever but it is definitely super expensive haha Wisdom is next most accurate and also slightly pricey but definitely way less than Embark haha and tbh I think it’s worth it to pay a little bit extra in the beginning to have an accurate test rather than paying for a bunch of inaccurate ones then having to buy another. You end up paying less getting the more accurate one first haha and they have it on Chewy and Amazon and stuff for a little cheaper I think. At least Wisdom does. Don’t know about Embark. And Wisdom also has some older versions for cheaper which I think are all basically the same haha but yeah. Anyway, DB & FSIL did Wisdom on both dogs and we think it’s pretty accurate. Especially Libby’s haha we can see clear breed traits. Franks a bit more muddled up/unclear :lau but we do think the test was pretty accurate, he just doesn’t really act like any one particular breed ha well, he does definitely act pretty Pyrenees lately ha

Anyway, I think a test would be fun eventually but feist makes sense.

Ahh okay. That makes sense then.

And yeah dogs are expensive! That’s totally understandable haha

And oh boy! That makes sense then lol do the others get along??

And wait just out of curiosity... they’re all technically yours? How did you come by 4 dogs!? :th

I know we’ve had a few family dogs and I found the ad for Gator/convinced my parents but he wasn’t mine. In fact my brother always claimed he was his since I got my cat snd had had a few birds/rabbits/fish so he was next in line for a pet LOL still a family dog though despite what he said. ;) :p anyway, I’ve never had my own dog :hit

I do have my own cat though lmao

Hopefully one day soon I will be able to have my own dog. :fl

I just think it’s so cool they’re all yours and not just family dogs/your parents and I kinda wanna know the story haha

And aww I think you should one day!! That would be fun haha she looks like a varied mix for sure.

I was looking at them for a while and never did it. I'm sure I'll give in eventually. Both of those can be purchased through amazon and I'm pretty sure those are the two I'd narrowed it down to.

I'll have to go dig through my extensive pile up of saved for later items to see.

Ah okay that makes sense then. I wasn’t sure if Embark was available on Amazon on not since it was so much but that’s cool that it is.

She sounds like a neat dog. :)

They are my family’s dogs.. and my dogs. I have a good relationship with my parents and don’t really care enough to draw a hard line.
I did all of the work and my parents paid for their food. They still bring them to me for grooming and vet care.

Theia is mine and hubby’s.

I love it! I’ve been Tesumph for almost a decade now and don’t intend on changing anytime soon.
At least we’ll never have to think too hard about a username. :D
BYC is the only web site I use that I contribute to, I think, but in the cases where I've needed a username to log in or something I use one that's entirely different from those I've used here. Repeating usernames or photographs makes you trackable across the internet and vastly increases the potential pool of people that might see and misuse your data.

I am sure I am very trackable :lau

I tend to post pictures or statuses/stories or whatever multiple places haha not all the time or all of them but definitely a lot or particularly interesting ones ha and have had the same username like over a decade and most people at least my first name, state, birthday, and my face lol Twitter I used to be anonymous and not post my face but I stopped caring a while ago lol

Definitely don’t hide much. :lau

But then again most people don’t these days haha

For those that have cats/kittens, this would be so fun to recreate. Is too cute!

OMG that is hilarious and adorable!!
