Well, I was kind of meaning full bloodwork I guess? I don’t know. Are there different kinds of bloodwork? Do you draw blood for heart worm tests? I don’t even know. but Luna has never had any of that done as far a know. Not a full blood work panel/disease testing, not a heart worm test, not anything. They have asked for Gator but not Luna. But then again I’ve usually always told them she’s indoor so maybe that’s why?

And okay, that makes sense thank you. Yeah, we always do the exam, not trying to skimp out on that or anything haha, but they always usually charge but then again I’ve never been back that close. But even when Gator was going in a bunch they charged but I guess that was for separate issues so makes sense I guess.

Yes, many different kinds of blood tests. Heartworm tests are blood tests but they’re very fast and easy.
CBC’s are pretty standard but I’ve never been to a clinic that did them routinely unless you asked. I’m sure there are some that do though.
Chemistry panels are done to “take a look under the hood,” for example kidney and liver function before putting an animal through anesthesia.
.. and more depending on what you’re looking for in the blood.

Yes, if you told your vet that Luna is indoor then there is no reason that they would ask about heartworm tests or prevention. Heartworms are transferred by mosquitos and indoor pets are not usually screened.

Bc she's a little country lady from cash bayou aka cash by and the world records was the farthest thing from her mind. She practically runs a rescue out there. Devotes all her time to the animals that are dumped, unwanted or deemed a nuisance and find their ways to the back roads. She is sort of my hero.
