Not I but I hope that those that are have prepared as best as they can and have gotten to a safer area. That is a beast of a storm. I've been watching the weather channel today. My heart is heavy for the Bahamas. They have and still are getting hammered. I really hope that it curves back out to sea.

X2!!! They say it’s a super slow moving storm too and not expected to leave the Bahamas until tomorrow morning it got there earlier today. Feel so bad for them. I too hope it turns and doesn’t hit Florida or anywhere directly. And also that it weakens.

No but my brother is in Jacksonville so we’re waiting to see what the storm does and hoping it turns out to sea

Thankfully Jacksonville is pretty far north and this storm is so slow moving hopefully it will weaken but you never know haha

I'm not very creative when it comes to names.

I think dudley would be a perfect name for this baby.

A few years ago the dump tried to burn us out by letting a compost heap catch fire during a very high wind period. The county police came along telling people to evacuate. I said not and that I would stay and fight the fire. Because I stayed and fought the fire, I prevented my house from catching on fire. None of my animals were hurt. I did have some smoke inhalation. One of the neighbors locked all but one of their dogs in their basement effectively killing those left behind when the house burned down.

What a sad tale. That must have been an awful thing to experience. All I can say is kudos to you for being brave enough to do what you thought was best for your animals. And your home!

I know Elvis won't do this, but I've got to share the story of a piglet my aunt adopted. She knows people who raise the black and white pigs for meat. They had a piglet born with a severe umbilical hernia that would have died without corrective surgery which wasn't something they did. They were just going to kill it, somy aunt took her and had the hernia repaired and kept her. That pigl grew so big that her back- her name was "little Gwen" btw- was at least 8-10" over a standard height chain link fence which is around 4' I believe. She was weighed one time on a large animal scale by a vet and was some monstrous #. Well over 1k lbs I know. And that was before she was done growing. She was literally the size of a horse when she died. I honestly believe she could've been a world record. I told my husband about her back when we first started dating as teens and he thought I was exaggerating, so I took him to see her. His mind was blown as was mine every time I saw her. I know meat pigs are usually slaughtered before they reach max growth so I don't think most realize how big they CAN get. Gwen liked to have her back scratched with a wire grill brush. RIP Little Gwen.
