➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Sorry, was watching that video! Which, btw, was hilarious!! He had zero chill in that one. :lau

Btw do you guys agree with his suggestions of beginner reptiles or the list of the 5 best?

Now you guys kind of have me wanting a lizard/gecko/reptile :lau

But not to worry, I won’t get one! Too much work and money with the special lights and everything. If anything I would get a rodent, pet birds, or more fish. :D

@CSAchook @Tesumph

I love that guy's videos. Really informative, and like you said, he is just so dang happy! It makes me smile.

I am still quite new to the world of reptiles, but I know his pet rankings are usually really well justified so I would trust his recommendations on good beginner options.

She went outside with me recently and loved it.
But then she started attacking a clump of weeds like a little bulldog and I got paranoid about pesticides and dog poop and that ended that.

I understand that. I got super nervous the first time Tad started going after plants. In my case it is at least a little easier because we have owned the property for a long time and I know we are not using any chemicals. Plus I know the chickens are eating the same plants and doing just fine. Of course that doesn't mean I am totally worry free. There are risks that are outside my control. My hope is that the many benefits—exercise, mental stimulation, UV—outweigh the potential for harm :hmm Kinda like my decision to let my birds free range part of the day. It is risky but to me it is worth it.

Yeah exactly!! Makes me smile too!! He’s awesome!! I don’t even know if I’m even gonna get a reptile anytime soon but now I love watching his videos lol he’s so happy! But not to worry, not gonna waste time today doing that haha

And okay thank you! That makes sense! He ended up recommending all the typical/commonly recommended ones but explained it really well and, I mean, if they’re commonly recommended they must be good aha

And aww I’m sure he’s fine!! And also kinda irrelevant but since you mentioned it, I really need to start letting my chickens free range more! They really seem to enjoy it.

I finally got a little blue-green egg in the nest this morning from a spring pullet! She's 23 weeks so pretty good, actually. It just seems like I've been getting eggs from the gold sexlinks for ages now. They started at 16 weeks, though. Really, really early! That's 3 down, one more EE to go!

Yay!! I’m still waiting on mine lol

Had to run to the bank real quick but did decide to put a load of laundry in before I went. Sort of. By “sort of” I mean there is laundry in there but it’s not exactly a full load or at least not very much stuff. It’s full but only with one thing lol put my comforter in there and couldn’t fit anything else. But still. It needed to be washed. Sheets and pillow cases are next after I get home. They wouldn’t fit with the blanket. All needed to be washed so this is a good/important step haha and then while that washes and dries, I will sort the pile of clothes on the floor and/or the books and/or clean off all the surfaces that have accumulated random stuff i.e. the top of the dresser, the desk/table, the nightstand, etc. and go through it all. And I finally get a chance to use my new laundry baskets. :D

I probably have several basketfuls of laundry to do

I’m tackling my main room first. Not even gonna bother with the little room for right now. There’s just soooo much stuff in there and it’s a mammoth task. I went in there and looked before I left. So I’ll just do the main room first. It shouldn’t take too long. It’s honestly really not that bad. There’s not that much in there and it’s mostly wide open/clean. It’s just all the clothes on the floor and a lot of books. And of course the stuff accumulated on the tables. But I could honestly probably get it completely done today or maybe today and tomorrow now that’s it’s getting kind of late. It’s not that bad. I think it’ll be fast. Which is why I am tackling it first.

And then when I am finally finished with both rooms I will post some before and after pics. :D

But for now I am not focusing on pictures or anything. Just on getting it done.

It’s amazing how much more energy I have today haha I don’t really know why. Theoretically I should have less energy because my one eye is really bothering me/super irritated/turning into a migraine which would normally shut me down yet I’m oddly motivated lol I won’t lie and say I’m beaming with energy or on top of the world or ready to run a marathon or energy but I’m still determined to get something done today finally. It’s more of a calm motivation I guess aha

That said, I do think I’m gonna need an Excedrin and/or some eye drops so it probably will become the more energetic/hyper type of motivation but still haha

But I also ate a good breakfast today and had my vitamin mix drink so that’s probably why. Cause breakfast wasn’t totally great, my eggs in a basket thing and no vegetables, but I had the vitamin/electrolytes/whatever mix drink and it’s probably marginally better than ham & turkey sandwiches drowned in mayo and honey mustard sauce lol

But yeah.

I’ll put it this way. If I had the time, money, and space to get quail...
I’d get a ferret. :caf
somebody said ferret
