➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Kiki, from far away I thought your profile picture was Superwoman with a farmer’s hat on.
Which gives me a great Halloween costume idea lmao.

:lau :gig :lau

I need to figure something out for the mini to wear this Friday.
He needs to dress as a book character and have the book.

Aww hopefully you find something! He doesn’t have any particular one he really likes?

I kinda wanted to bring Theia out for the day. We could be Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby.

That is an excellent idea!!!

X2!!!

Also ive got a customer coming today. Shes gone back and forth like 5 times on whether or not to get this rooster. Hes only 5$ and i offered his Amberlink hen to go with him for 25$ because shes already got 3 roosters and im worried donno what shes doin w em but she likes em. She expected for them just to get along. I explained thats not how it works n she says 2 of her 3 get along real well so she will just combine those two coops for now and free up one and see how well this frizzle adjusts. I just want to get rid of my rooster. She was askn after cochin hens but ive already sold off all of them so i offered the amberlink cuz theyve lived together for months.

So id like to make this sale but if she changes her mind again would You sell to her? Id like to use their coop to grow out my black sex links but its not compleatly neccessary especially with the new one coming. Im pretty done with the Cochins, i wanna concentrate on my quailies, Hona and Wyandottes. The amberlink would probly lay religiously thru the winter while everyone else molts but she wouldnt be breeding material and ive already mixed up one of her eggs and hatched it with the cuckoos sex links. The frizzle cochin is a pain in the butt who would just be living free. He wouldnt make soup, just broth or stock, theres No meat to speak of on those bones.

As ive typed this she has changed her mind Again :he

I wouldn't cause her indecisiveness could be used on the rooster she prolly won't care about if she's this bad prior

I don’t even know if I’d give her that many chances :lau
As a seller, You give them as many chances as they want. You let them know that it is first come, first served. If they eventually show up, you sell it to them. If they don't show up, you don't worry about it. The number one rule is to not get your hopes up and you won't be disappointed when they don't show up.

I just went through a deal where the person kept saying they wanted the birds and then would go silent for a week before again saying they wanted the birds.

I was very pleasantly surprised when the husband showed up with cash in hand and finally completed the sale.

Hmm I guess that makes sense but it kind of seems like a big waste of time and rude of them if someone else could show up first.

But that is great it worked out in this case and they eventually showed up!!

And great you have so much patience to deal with that! I feel like that would drive me batty.

But things also tend to go pretty quickly here. If they want it, they’ll show up, otherwise someone else will. At least from what I’ve noticed. Stuff sells pretty fast. But of course you always have some stuff that never seems to sell and the occasional time waster but still. People also usually put something like “serious inquires only” in the post to help avoid that.

As a seller nah I don't HAVE to sell anything. I guess the games are different. I've said no many times. Actually believe it or not I've gifted many many chickens. When I meet someone that is genuine and eager to learn and can take constructive criticism (which is rare these days). I'll mentor them and yeah they get very good birds but they earned it
