➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That is wonderful news for your baby!

My daughter was on Albuterol for sports induced asthma when she was competing in ice skating. Anxiety and competing in a cold arena would bring on an attack. So she would take a puff before her skate.

You might want to work on your core while losing weight...makes stronger support for your essential organs.
And will improve posture too.

Yeah, when I get anxiety my chest gets super tight too but I think that’s common even if you don’t have asthma and it usually goes away after a while. But with the asthma it makes it worse ha

And thanks! I’ll definitely do that too. Sometimes I start working out for like a day or two or three and then quit. Done that several times so far this year.

I need to get serious about it.

Maybe start doing some sit ups or squats or something haha

I definitely need to work on my posture. I’m usually hunched over most of the time.

Yeah, I figured you meant because of my hypochondriac tendencies. :lau

It does seem like a very serious and scary disease though and I definitely don’t take it seriously enough.

I often go places without high socks, sometimes without even long pants, without bug spray, etc. and I’ve been known to walk in the yard barefoot despite having tons of deer around.

I haven’t done that lately though since we just had a ton here the other day but still.

Should probably get serious about protecting myself. I had no idea there were so many other tick diseases that could infect much faster.

I also am not serious enough about the mosquitoes and EEE threat even though like 3 or 4 people have died from it this year and there’s been way more cases.
Oh yes. Lyme and Babesiosis are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to vector borne diseases in Texas.
I can send you my parasitology notes so you can be really freaked out lol. Makes you never want to leave the house again.

Hmmm... I think I’ll pass on those notes. :lau

I’m paranoid enough as it is lol

But does he happen to know what diseases are common in Massachusetts? Maybe you could ask him that. :lau

Unless he only studies Texas haha

I agree. Especially being in a parasitology course under a veterinarian who specializes in tick-bourne diseases.
My comment was less about Lyme and more about Kdog. (no offense dog )

Best wishes to your daughter.
A good friend of mine has Lyme and she had to fight for the diagnosis. Very hard to treat and diagnose, even if you know what you’re looking for (and many unfortunately don’t).

I am sorry for everything you and your daughter are going through :hugs

I don’t think Tes meant any harm or meant to say that Lyme wasn’t serious. She just knows that sometimes I can be a bit of a hypochondriac and start researching a million different symptoms and diseases and convince myself I have every one. so I think she was just meaning it was yet another disease for me to worry about.

But reading and watching all that stuff, I had no idea it was so serious or that there were so many other symptoms!! I also didn’t know about that other disease. That is terrifying!!

I think I will definitely go get tested.

@Tesumph My sincere apologies for misinterpreting the object (actually the person) of your comment. I'm oversensitive I suppose. It didn't occur to me you were referring to @KDOGG331 and specifically to a predilection for hypochondria. my bad.

@KDOGG331 thank you for your kind words. I also apologize to you for upsetting you in any way. I think the internet has turned most of us into hypochondriacs! Nevertheless, it never hurts to get tested. (Tell them you want complete tests including associated tick borne diseases.)

Massachusetts? Boy are you in a hotspot. (Here I go throwing gasoline on the fire). Did you know Lyme was first found in Lyme Connecticut?
I'll stop there.

Nahh, it’s okay, you didn’t upset me! And I don’t think you’re over sensitive at all! It’s a very close issue to you and understandable why you’d be passionate about it!! :hugs

And totally understandable to not know that! Especially since you haven’t been on here long. Tes and everyone else only know that cause I’ve posted about that sort of thing a lot :lau

And lots of other stuff. I’m on here a ton. They probably know me better than I know myself sometimes. :lau

And thanks! I’ll have to do that. Kinda worried they won’t wanna test me or will refuse or something.

I think my mom especially should be tested though. She’s had tons of tick bites.

Nah you don’t have to stop! This is interesting to me.

Although now you have me really worried :lau

But yes, I’m in Massachusetts haha
Ok here ya go...conspiracy theory?
First a map of the coast of Connecticut and Plum Island.

And here's some interesting reading. Have fun!:oops:
https://www.dr-rath-foundation.org/...disease-links-to-biological-warfare-research/

Thanks!! I’ll have to check that out!! I’m not normally super big on conspiracy theories or whatever but this one seems legit and super feasible. I’ll have to read it
Me either. Like, I don't think the moon landing was faked, I don't believe the government is hiding alien bodies in area 51, and I don't believe the twin towers were destroyed by our government. But this...:idunnosome things just don't add up. Especially when the CDC refuses to acknowledge chronic Lyme disease and insist that doctors need only prescribe a round of antibiotics to completely cure it in spite of the physicians that report their experiences with their patients that have it., in spite of the growing numbers of those affected.
Ok. Enough.
