Well, not really strangers. Most of the time they're people I know indirectly, like the cop for the next town over. People I don't know at all, I meet in a car park or the parking lot of the police station or something.

Neighbor called to report a suspicious pickup in the area with two men checking out houses during the day when folks may not be at home. Several have had items stolen and one lady caught them casing out the construction site for her new home. Fortunately for her they jumped in the truck and sped off.

I found a good price on rump roast at the grocer yesterday. Had the butcher cut two into 1/8 inch thin slices for beef jerky. After marinating, these will go into the dehydrator this evening.

Going to my parent’s for lunch and father in law’s for dinner. Then going to some game on Friday in San Antonio (bleh) with my mother in law’s side of the family.
I’m making my famous gourmet 5 cheese mac n’ cheese and banana bread. And showing up early to help my dad deep fry the turkey, of course.

We are going to do deep fried turkey next year with turkeys that we are raising. I had it before when I was in high school, I think it was the best turkey I've ever had.
