➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yea probably. I haven’t looked too much into it.
It’s not a miracle and not that harmful either.. not sure why it’s such a hot topic.

Yeah I haven’t either but I think I saw it mentioned in a thread recently. It was an older thread so it’s been several years now they’ve supposedly been doing it but it makes sense because it is very dusty which is why I hate buying it. Wastes so much with so much being powder. Maybe I could sift it out for the littles though.

And yeah me neither ha although I think the issue for a lot of people is the dust and how bad it is for the lungs supposedly. People aren’t even supposed to breathe it, supposed to wear a mask, and chickens (and birds in general) have much more sensitive respiratory systems. So I can see how it’d be bad for them to breathe it. People add it to the coop to dry out poop or control mites or whatever and I admit I used to too but I think them scratching around in it in an enclosed coop could be bad. People add it to dust bath mixes too and I think that’s worse cause they’re creating and breathing huge dust clouds of the stuff. So I can see the concern there. But I do not think eating it or adding it to food is bad and don’t see why people freak over that. It won’t deworm them like claimed but it won’t exactly harm them from my understanding.

But how are you ever going to get rid of the fleas if you are not willing to try... Anything can have a reaction with a dog or animal, but it doesn't happen all the time. Reactions are not that common.
right now I am poofing with sulfur, keeps them away better than anything I have tried

about 2013 nothing was working, i was constantly washing the dog, light traps in the house ect I got chickens 2015 and read in 2016 that sulfur n the dust bath for mites. Put some on me and the dog an the fleas stayed away. Currently still flea free... just smell like brimstone... would be nice to not freak people out LOL
