➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

We've had issues with UPS as well. To the point that we have it marked that a signature is required for ALL packages from now on. We have given them an earful on more than 1 occasion that's for sure! Since we have it where they need to get a signature, we haven't had much trouble.

We usually have good luck with deliveries, and so far our neighborhood has no issues with porch pirates. But last week the post office gave my package to someone else!

Oh wow! UPS is the only delivery service that we've had trouble with. Our mail carrier has always been great and we've never had a problem out of FedEx either. We live quite a ways back from the road so I don't necessarily worry about porch pirates. Before we cracked down on UPS, they would sometimes keep our package up by the road. Would put it next to these concrete/stone pillar things but if a car was going by slow it could be visible. Wouldn't take much effort for someone to stop and go nab it if they wanted to. And then they would mark that they delivered it to our front door. We pitched a fit and that is one of the major factors as to why we changed any delivery by them to require a signature.

I am a clothes hoarder. I have a closet full and 2 dressers full. And a couple laundry baskets filled. I need to go through and get rid of so much stuff. I have 2 big boxes full of clothes to be donated already. I am slowly working through it. Slowly being the key word. :barnie

I am the same!! As well as an armoir thing and a couple piles :lau

138 idiots caused major accidents, including deaths, on Houston's freeways last year...

By driving the wrong way on the freeway.

 :th

I'll have to check that out. I am so organizationally challenged that it isn't even funny. I need a professionally organized closet (and kitchen would be nice.. heck, who am I kidding?!? The WHOLE house!) for dummies so I could keep up and manage everything easier.

:lau I am the same!! Glad it’s not just me lol my mom is too :lau

Probably even worse than me. I can be organized when I try but I never do :lau:oops:

I'd love to come organize for you.

Can you stop by my house next???

Reminds me of a goulash. Maybe it is just the macaroni, Idk.

I had to Google that :lau

But it does look like that doesn’t it!?

Elvis does a partial crow. He does an Errr-errrrrrr. 2 syllables instead of the normal 3 or so. Is different than my silkie, Bowie, crow. But Bowie has this wheeze at the end of his crow. It's like he runs out of air at the very end lol. Or like if you ever have a squeaky to and you squeeze it and it almost does this weird noise as it fills back up with air? It's like that. Is funny.

:lau:gig:lau

OMG

:old Woman! You better get a move on it! :smack LOL!

:lau

I know but we’re not gonna be home anyway.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cover. Whenever I hear it, it will be stuck in my head for forever thereafter.

I still haven’t listened to it yet.

When did you get more chicks? I must have missed it when I was skimming through all of the posts that I missed. How many? From Meyer's again? And you got hatching eggs as well? How many and what breeds or is it a surprise group of eggs?

These chicks are from the hatching eggs. I ended up with 9 out of 13. 10 made it to lockdown but one didn’t pip. :( and I had 3 early quitters. But I still think that’s great for my first ever hatch and shipped eggs lol

Anyway, the chicks hatched Thanksgiving weekend so they’re 3 weeks old right now. Can’t believe they are 3 weeks old already. :hit

And yes, they are from Meyer again and they are an assortment. Ordered 12, got 13, and ended up with like 8 different breeds in the assortment which I thought was so cool. At least one of each hatched too. :D

I ended up with an Easter Egger, a Barred Rock, a Rhode Island Red, a Black Australorp, a Blue Andalusian, a Buff Orpington, a Lavender Orpington, and two Welsummers.

ETA:

Here is a link to the post with chick pics. :D

Need to get updated ones.

Glad you got that fixed! That sounds so frustrating.

Our local mail carrier is great. This was a package of live bugs that I was picking up directly from the post office. Apparently someone else’s package was being held in the same bin and they gave the other person both boxes! :hit
