➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

So cute!! :love

we’re home! Just in time to turn around and go to my in-laws house.

I “opened” my present from my husband last night. A permission slip to go shopping for two baby ferrets.
:love:love:love
He would’ve surprised me with the ferrets themselves but the stars didn’t align. I prefer it this way anyways.

Awww that’s awesome!!! :love

And yeah, I think I would prefer to pick out my own too haha

Pictures when you get them!!

i’ve actually been in shorts today!!

Nice!! I would be too probably if I was home lol

It got to 62 here, too...not really feeling like a winter wonderland. :hmm

I’m glad for the break from the cold. :lau

Howdy! Can you even believe this weather?? Glad it's not even warmer...but the waterfowl sure enjoyed having their pools today. lol
it is amazing! DH said we should’ve planned a fishing trip for Christmas! we’ll be begging for this weather in March....I don’t have waterfowl but I did get to spend some quality time with my quailies today!

A fishing trip sounds great! Hope you guys can go soon!

The mud...I dread Spring for that very reason. Clay + rain = slime. I just keep waiting for the face plant!

What kind of quail do you have? I considered hatching some, but my 'bators are usually full of chicken or duck eggs. :jumpy
i keep a covey of around 40 coturnix and have 5 ringneck pheasants and 5 chukars.....I have buttons and zebra finches inside

Beautiful!

we just finished the last of my chicken eggs this morning.....i have 9 chukar eggs left and then more quail eggs than we can eat!! I only put 8 quail eggs in the incubator for NYD hatch and then will take a hatching break until spring. the temp extremes coupled with the flooding makes it very difficult to hatch quail this time of year
