➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

The chicks have grown so much even just from like a week and a half ago :hit

Brooder was a bit of a disaster but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Shavings everywhere, all over the house, and some high and low spots in the brooder from where they’ve kicked/dug around, and of course they get the food and water filthy insanely fast because of their antics, but honestly besides that it’s not that bad. :lau

They definitely need to go outside though. :lau

Before.

And some cute chick pics after I refilled everything. Or as best as I could do. They wouldn’t hold still. :lau

What's your plan for all those boys?
Oh my gosh! I could just eat them up!

Almost makes me want to get rabbits again... Ah, nope, the feeling passed. :gig

Same! They’re cute. I’d be so upset. :hit I don’t even know if I can do meat chickens haha
I could do meat chickens easily if they're not named.

I got my dogs matching clothes :lau my puggle is always cold and Jolene just looks cute in sweaters. I'll have to post a pic tonight or tomorrow.

Im going to try to stay up for new years eve, I always pass out before the ball drops :lau

Yup. They are awesome pets but they are a LOT of work. The commitment level is like getting another dog.
Also, I swear Clark and Dakota poop their entire body weight every day. Lmao.
I don't need anymore dog like animals. With 4 dogs and a cat, I have enough furry animals.

I want a flower mantis so bad. I haven't looked into them yet, but they're awesome.

I asked Petco if they ever carry feeder roaches and they said they don't... Bet they'd make a lot of money if they sold them. I cringe when people buy crickets. They're so :sick
Almost no one sells them. I think they breed too slowly to turn a good profit.

We buy the 20 count bags of crickets for our girls when we get dog food. They like the exercise but I will never feed them as a staple again.
I once had a breeding colony of crickets.. ugh. Not even kinda worth it.

I think crickets are smelly. That's why I like the roaches, everyone says they have no smell at all.

I dislike mealworms too, but that's all they had. Groot wasn't interested in them so I told him we would try again tomorrow. I ordered him 3 different sized roaches and whatever he doesn't eat Gamora (Bob) will.

Those sharks I got are doing awesome in our tank. I have so many animals... I didn't see the store manager when I went to Petco last night so I'll go back again sometime to drop off my number.

Groot refused to eat live feed tonight. He's really being a little pain :barnieHusbanf told me he will eventually eat sometime. I think he sneaks his salad when I'm not looking

That’s awesome!!

And aw hopefully he’s there next time haha

And aww I’m sure he’s still just settling in!! And he must if he’s pooping haha

I might keep one but I’m not sure yet. But I do know that I’ll probably keep all the chicks until they’re all old enough to sex them all for sure and tell which one is the nicest and then I’ll probably post all the boys on Craigslist and keep all the girls and/or maybe the nicest boy. I know people might eat them on Craigslist, which is fine by me, but hopefully somebody will want a flock rooster or two. :fl

If not, we have the room to separate them and keep them for as long as necessary.

And aw you should get another!

I get attached way too fast. Even though my chicks aren’t named and are still a tad scared of me, I’m in love with them already so no way I could do meat birds. Especially since I’ve heard Cornish X are extremely friendly. :hit

I thought maybe if they all looked alike it’d be easier but not if they’re super friendly. :hit

And awww that sounds adorable!!!

And yeah, I am usually up after midnight anyway, but for some reason for New Years I don’t really care anymore :lau

Probably cause we never do anything so it’s the same every year and most of the TV stuff just annoys me now :lau

:lau:lau:lau

That's how I felt about the ferrets I saw at Petco... Oh they're cute... I want one... I kept walking until I was over it lol

Ferrets are so stinkin cute lol

Yeah, that and the smell is why I haven’t gotten any haha too much work for me but they seem adorable. Maybe one day. :lau

And :lau OMG!!

What are they eating? Maybe that’s part of it? I know it can be with dogs lol

:lau I need more furry animals. I have too many feathered and finned ones. :lau

Love them but I need another dog.

And what is a flower mantis?
