About wet/dry dog food and fat/no fat diets: the "scientific" advice changes every freaking year! Do what's best for you! Example: if your fatty diet includes whole milk, real butter and eggs, and normal (unprocessed) animal fats, good for you!!! If it's margarine and gallons of ice cream slathered in hot fudge sauce and candied peanuts, however, you might need to change it up. Just do your own research by seeing how your body feels after 3-4 weeks DEDICATED to the new changes.
For dogs: We had a dog with really bad teeth. She was 13. We fed her dry with just a bit of water on some of it. That way she had a nice blend. She would ask for it that way, but not every time.

He said to give it twice a day until the tube is gone...just to make sure he gets a good start at life.

Poor dog is already in much better shape than he was.

I'm not a vet or anything, but that ingredients list is mostly sugars. My dad bred dogs, I've bred dogs....15 puppies in the shed and 10 more in the dining room.. never fed any of my dogs just wet food! I would think their teeth would be a mess plus those cans are a huge percent water. Read up on Brewers yeast for fleas. Good ole borax sprinkled around helps too. Vets Best also makes flea spray from natural oils that works well.
