Does anyone know why my little brahmas aren't growing? I swear they haven't grown at all.
Did you water them? Are they getting enough sun? Pictures please. Before and after are helpful. Unless you weigh them, we really can't prove anything.

The NN are growing. Put them outside in the tractor for sun. Need to move tractor closer to the big girls for introductions. The last couple went well after a couple weeks of see-no-touch. The rains are causing wetness issues for everyone. Spring rains are here. And here. And here...

They're 7 weeks old. Maybe they're perfect for their age. Maybe it's because my jersey giant crosses were so large at this age that I'm not used to normal growing chicks.

The breeder had a Brahma rooster in with her hens. If I remember correctly these chicks both came from white eggs.

Do you have added heat on them?
They were on heat until we put them outside (there was a heat lamp outside too) and they slipped the fence and didn't want the heat anymore. It's been in the 70s here and at night the go under the wings of the bigger ones.

My chickens became mother hens when these little chicks were introduced. They have been caring for them since they slipped into the layers area (they went through the chain link).

They feed them, show them the ropes, and the little ones follow them around just like they hatched out of the egg under the mother hens.

And the breeder told me when I picked up my other eggs that she thinks the white one is a mix of Brahma and some rare breed that she has... I forgot the name.

I actually think they're the right size for 7 weeks. I probably thought they were older because the Jersey giant crosses hatched on Halloween. These hatched the weekend before Thanksgiving

Yep. Babies grow, then slow down as they add mass, then slowly finish growing. Don't worry, they will have another growth spurt in a couple of weeks. The Brahma are gonna be layers?

Maybe I shouldn't wait for introductions if yours were adopted. That is good news.

I just don't want them in the dog yard...
