Are the cadavers animals donated by vets and/or owners?

Many (possibly all) come from owners. There is a memorial program that allows owners to donate the bodies for students and research.
Some have nametags attached and all of their heads are kept covered out of respect for the dog.

We're going to have to change her name to little Gina.

oh the memories.....cadaver lab was how i figured out I was expecting my youngest!! i suddenly started getting nauseous every time i had to go near that room!!!

I need names for my chickens and Gina is not one of them because I don't think I could say that name without laughing.

Every time I ask a friend what I should name a chicken she always comes up with these names that I couldn't even say without laughing

I don't know if I could handle one with a name tag.

That black lab puppy the vet had me dissect, I cried the entire time. She was licking my face and cuddling with me the day before. I was so sad for the owners and cried with them. I'm so sappy when it comes to pet deaths. Even if it's not my animal I cry... I got like this after I had kids.

Really I just have "Rooster", "Foghorn" & "Red" that actually get called by name, the rest are usually "Chicken"...... "Buckwheat" was my bestest guinea that bad dog killed/ate.

Mine were usually named from books or movies. Marvel characters, the power puff girls, frozen....or I get my brothers kids to name them.

I ended up with “rooster, chicky, and peep” when I let he kids name them. They are pretty young kids and very sweet.

Mine are teenagers and don't care about chickens. They're more into girls and friends. I'm not cool anymore and feel left out

At least my chickens still think I'm cool

Lucky earned her name. She was 8wks when she survived a hawk attack fall 2017, she died this fall
Steve Austin (the 6 million dollar chicken) is the only egg that hatched out of 23 shipped cornish large fowl eggs this spring, He was in a nest box tonight. Sooo he is in the house since it's going to be 12f tonight. No sure what his issue is, but something is up.
