Oh wow. I'll have to see how they act maybe I'll put fencing around the boxes then they can just get pests that come out. I hate Japanese beetles and we have a huge issue with them every year. Nothing kills them either. I'm hoping the ducks can help out.

My turkey poults went crazy after some Japanese beetles that came to close to their pen the other day...

Runners are supposed to be good garden ducks.

That’s true! I have heard that. I think they use them in the rice paddies in Asia to help with bugs.

I had a dream last night that I got sebastapol geese. It was magical.

Years ago I wanted to get some and called a breeder to see how much he sold "steepastosal" geese he didn't sell lol.
I got really close to raising red breasted geese but didn't. They're fine looking

I've got 3 runners. Drake and 2 ducks. Plus a Rouen drake and a cayuga duck and Welsh harlequin duck. I plan on separating them into 2 separate pens that way my runners will only be runners. Nobody is laying eggs yet though so I think I have time.

I've got not runners just Pekin and Muscovy. I want runners though

Mine was a variety batch that I ordered and there was 1 of almost every kind! I have a buff&white drake and the ducks are a black and a chocolate.

My turkeys have no idea what a Japanese beetle is. I have never seen one in Wyoming.
