➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I think today was the fastest I’ve ever gone in and out of a store :lau

I’ve actually been home for like over an hour now haha

I was in and out of the store & loaded in like 5 minutes. Well, maybe 10, cause the lady happened to be from my town and we chatted a bit :lau

But the shavings are right at the front of the store at my TSC so I just walked in, got them, got out. Didn’t use my phone. Didn’t go shopping/walking around aimlessly. Did chat a bit but that’s it.

I actually think the longest part was when I got gas (cause it’s somehow empty already?) and I couldn’t figure out how to open the gas cap :lau ended up parking and reading the owner’s manual and Googling. :lau

Turns out it’s actually super simple but totally different from the other car. There’s no lever. You just push the cap. But I spent a bit looking for the lever. :lau

Ended up just going in and getting my milk first then getting gas haha

Once I figured it out though, it was easy and I got gas and got home.

And once home, I didn’t even let my song finish like usual! I just got straight out.

And then I even brought my trash in AND some CDs I had in the center console since the car doesn’t have a CD player. Figured it’s useless leaving them in. Carried them all the way upstairs to my room.

Then went back out and unloaded all the shavings and brought all 3 bales up the driveway and into the house. Usually I’d leave them but I was on a productive streak :lau

Also didn’t want to negatively effect my gas mileage tomorrow. :D

Now we’re about to eat dinner soon.
This is great Kdog!

Crock Pot slow cooked 2 Leghorns on low for 8 hours. 3 years old and they were tender and flavorful. I was planning on making soup, but we ate a bit on the side of sweet potatoes. Delicious. Should have added some seasoning, but they were good without it. Tasted like chicken. The flesh was firmer than grocery store and good.

Added the fat from the hens butchered this morning and have a pint of schmaltz.

Yes, I'm reducing rations. These girls aren't going to be happy.

The baby Richards are 9 weeks old. Growing big! Here is Little (red pullet), Fuzzy (Cockerel ain't so little now), and Yellow (smallest, white pullet). What a crew! Getting along with the big girls. Fuzzy is challenging them and backing right down. They are still larger (for now).
They still make me laugh out loud.
They are ridiculous.

Put your phone up and grab a book.

I can sum it up a lot faster/shorter though :lau

Worked on the coop, picked up branches/sticks from the yard, finished cleaning out the basement, got pictures of the chicks (and let everyone free range this afternoon), fed the cat, and of course went to TSC and got shavings as well as gas and milk on the way home and then unloaded everything and ate dinner. :D

Tomorrow I have to do all 3 dogs so I think I am going to just go to bed as I am exhausted.

This week is super busy too. I do the dogs 3 days this week and have therapy Thursday. Wednesday is going to be a bit insane cause I have my normal dog plus DB & SIL’s 3 dogs. :th

On top of all that, I am going to clean the coops and the fish tanks this week and maybe tackle my room or finish setting up the tanks finally. Maybe try to do some apps or cook some too.

Btw this was dinner. Yellow rice, black beans, and chicken. My dad’s idea and cooking ha I’ll cook tomorrow I guess. He had already started it by the time I got back from TSC.

Oh and I meant to ask earlier... found this poop when I was cleaning up branches... what do you think? Coyote? Fox? Looks too small for a coyote to me so maybe fox?

Edited to clarify its poop LOL
