Well, this sounds like a no brainer, then.I currently only have 3 hens that are for sure laying. Only one of those hens has been known to have been bred. I did see the first confirmed breeding of a Sweetgrass hen yesterday. I do not know if she has started laying yet.
I will probably set some turkey eggs next weekend.
October is usually when I have poults that have been grown out to determine which ones I am going to keep. It is also when I am selling sexed poults.
It also happens to be the time that I am harvesting honey if any is available to be harvested.
