I currently only have 3 hens that are for sure laying. Only one of those hens has been known to have been bred. I did see the first confirmed breeding of a Sweetgrass hen yesterday. I do not know if she has started laying yet.

I will probably set some turkey eggs next weekend.

October is usually when I have poults that have been grown out to determine which ones I am going to keep. It is also when I am selling sexed poults.

It also happens to be the time that I am harvesting honey if any is available to be harvested.

Well, this sounds like a no brainer, then.

They are a hatchery choice assortment of 4 ameraucanas. Possible colors are white, lavender, blue, black, or splash. I think one is black not sure about the others. What do you think?

I'm not really an Ameraucana person, but the one on the far right looks blue, I think. Middle one could maybe be lav or splash?

Your chicks look like they will all be different colors, so a nice splash of color to your flock for springtime. Put them in a basket on your table for Easter. I bet they would like an invite to the table with their feathers on!
