I've seen a YouTube video of Quail eggs hatching from the supermarket ..... I have hens that I'm hiding from my city.....can't even THINK about hatching eggs

i am in the same position, but I am going to hatch more. There are no eggs in the grocery stores here. We are giving eggs to older people, neighbors and people we work with and have plenty. I would like to continue that thru winter, so more chickens are in order.
I think I might sleep in the backyard tonight, If only I could find that old hammock.
This mo fo predator isn't getting to eat my hens all up.
If you don't here from me for a while it could be that I got picked up for discharging a fire arm in city limits or harming some poor little creature who has eviscerated my poor pet hens who are only try to work their tails off to keep us safe from the Covid-19. Take care all, stay safe and healthy
And take care of your animals, they are ones who will save you in the end, not the grocery store
Teach your kids how to grow a garden that they can pick fruit off and eat, Let them sell the veggies and fruit on the side of the road, like Gramma did. A couple of years ago, when we had too many cukes, DD sold them at 50c a piece, wiped out my bushes and made $40 on the corner of our neighboorhood. All in a few hours. we had the neighbor's neighbors coming to buy. They could add some art and paint their own stand; people could leave their money under a rock 6' from the stand and pick up their order from the same table
So much great things to learn and be helpful to the neighbors as well
