Mine is horrible. She is the dumbest bird I've ever had, and is not friendly at all. She is a total spaz. She even went through a sleeping in the nest box phase. I let her live because she's a survivor, and I'm a little curious to see how long she'll make it. The birds I dislike are always the ones that live the longest.

None of my Welsummers were "friendly" but then none of my poultry are friendly because I do not make pets out of any of them. My Welsummers were nice calm birds. The other thing that I like about Welsummers is they have a nice big body cavity making it easier to process them.

I haven't heard anyone have nice things to say about Wyandottes.

I have 4 nice Wyandottes, they lay eggs regularly, they squat when I walk up and let me pet them. 1 is one of my broodies!!!

Yes, I am aware of that. It is a submissive act. Preparation for mating, makes it easier for the rooster. However I don't have a rooster and can't keep a rooster, so I am the rooster

I loved my Welsummers. The roosters were sweethearts. The hens laid great big beautiful speckled dark brown eggs that were extra large with the deepest dark yellow yolks.

My Welsummer lays these weird brown egg that has either grayish or purplish looking spots, depending on the time of the cycle.
