I wouldn't know.but you like boobies, so u will be “giver of the beads” not receiver, right!!?? (sorry i’m coming in on the middle of the conversation, but that’s the way bead usually work)![]()
I believe that is angel wing and is usually attributed to, too much protein in the diet at a young age. Many people correct it early on with the use of bandages,I took some pictures tonight while feeding....thought I’d put them here for y’all to enjoy!! i have no idea?.....it’s just been a wonky wing and this is my first time with dux......i will have to look up their ages but they are around 10 weeks?? i’m guessing cayuga is a female because she doesn’t have a loud “quack” and no curly tail feathers. the rouen, I believe is a male.....very loud quack from early age and slightly green headCould that be Angel Wing?
Looks like a pretty mild case of angel wing to me. You can clip the feathers if you want. I have a Rouen with severe angel wing on both sides. It doesn't bother her a bit. Some think too much protein, not enough activity early on, others think genetics. I haven't the slightest clue myself.I took some pictures tonight while feeding....thought I’d put them here for y’all to enjoy!! it doesn’t seem to bother her but i guess I should’ve asked earlier so I could’ve attempted correctionI believe that is angel wing and is usually attributed to, too much protein in the diet at a young age. Many people correct it early on with the use of bandages,
I feed Flock raiser to all my littles, and it's 20%. I doubt the 1% would be that big of a deal. Could just be a genetic thing. I once had a call that started getting it, and I wrapped her for a day, and it corrected.it doesn’t seem to bother her but i guess I should’ve asked earlier so I could’ve attempted correctionnot sure how it could be too much protein as they’ve eaten the same meatbird feed that all my birds have (21% protein) which is definitely on the low side for my quail/turkey chicks so would guess that it would be on the low side for ducklings too??
