I've always wanted to do thisView attachment 1403863
I don't want to leave it too long. She's little and sitting on 8 eggs already. You can see her trying to tuck in under. LOL
This was about 5 min under her. It climbed steady then leveled out.
I'll do it again tomorrow and get coop temp too. I'll leave it longer but if she's not happy it goes.
Very good advice.I know it's so nerve racking letting them out for the first time, I've done it too. I think I just let the bubs out with the parents and they stick to their parents, keep it short say 5-10 minutes then call them in for food (make sure they are hungry before being let out) the babies learn to use the trap door by following the parents through. Do that a few times and they get the hang of going back into the loft by themselves![]()

This one is pretty cool too! Look what you started @KikisGirls
I think you need to buy a mini go pro type camera to attach to a bird.Very good advice.Only problem here is that the parents haven't flown yet. I bought them in late dec17 and although they were supposed to be un-flown I didn't really trust that they hadn't had a look around the home loft and maybe would try to return. I decided to let them raise some babies first and they are doing so now. I plan to let the young ones out first by themselves and the older ones separately at first. Once(if?lol) they are returning they can fly together. What do you think?
