➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

pickling is not good for development....is it?

Let me check in the full length mirror in my room and I'll let you know. Be right back.....

Okay, back. Yes, pickling is good for development. I'm well pickled at 67 years old. I'm sure it's from a lifetime of eating preservatives, and since I'm back into my size bigger jeans and bulging out of those - again - I'd say my development is ongoing. So yep.

Kiki, I think that in the name of science, you should go back and buy about 6 more uncooked balut.
I thought about grabbing a couple of the chicken ones but the Mexican would um....
probably throw my fake bator away.

I totally understand your hesitation! I will not force you to eat a duck egg. I am satisfied with your incubation experiment! My husband is convinced we will crack open an egg and have a baby duck embryo inside because the drake is a busy boy. He's totally got me paranoid even though I look for and collect eggs daily and know it's not exactly possible. The dong que is supposed to be quite the delicacy. We also have a friend from Peru that is quite interested in any ducks (meat) or eggs we produce, more so than our American friends. It's got me curious what Peruvian dishes are out there and if there's anything I should try making.

What is this fat thing?
This isn't the Crazy Lady's weird named dog is it?

This is a stray.
A pregnant stray.
A pregnant stray that Crazy Lady has decided is her new project.
:hmm
We are not thrilled.

I can show you the 100 pound, pooping, eating scaredy cat that "we" had to keep from the last pregnant stray that we made a project. Oh, we also kept the stray Momma - she is the grey/black Australian Cattle Dog looking one with the blue eyes in the back ground. And the one before her. And the one before her, the lady that brought her to us took her back to keep, but we kept 2 of the 13!!! puppies.

I could start a fight. Again. Or I can go sit with the chickens and meditate.

Ever piss off a crazed coonass?

FUN, ain't it. If you live...
:frow

Now taking puppy orders! They will be neutered, shot and loved immensely.
