➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That was the most rewarding and precious video I have watched in a long time. :love The water jiggle test, just on a bigger scale.
You could see the love the man had for them as they called back to him when he whistled. My heart melted into a puddle. :thThen as he gently made the lifesaving hole in the egg. Then the hatch of both...
Now, how many want to hatch some emu eggs?:jumpy
Yet, many don't have the place to enjoy them. So I will settle for this special video. ;) So so special. Thank you for sharing it. :)

Are you not also following the emu egg hatch?!?

Ok I couldn't wait the whole thirty minutes so I just looked again. I'm pretty sure I don't see any movement.

I think I see the veins getting darker. Does this make sense to anyone? Would the veins getting darker mean they are dying?
Oh shoot. I don't want to be pessimistic, but no movement and darkening veins is not good. But don't give yet, either! I would walk away for a while and try again in an hour or so. I've had eggs I thought were dead, end up hatching. As they get bigger in the shell, they move less and it's hard to see the movement that is there.

Whatever happens, do NOT beat yourself up. Hatching is a tricky business, and I've had chicks die near the end using an expensive incubator and doing everything "right."

Well, after all that excitement I am going to take a shower.
