But if I close it up...I am going to have to figure out how to get the lightbulb inside.
Kiki, you can thread the lightbulb through the side of the bator. Take a bulb with a cord, run the cord through a small hole in the side from inside the bator and thread the bulb into place. Plug the cord into a power source from outside the bator.
Place the bulb towards the top. The thermostat should adjust the temp accordingly.

I will get this done!
THANKS

why don't you get a piece of glass for the top and turn it into a viewing hole. and cut a hole in the side just big enough for the light to fit in and you can seal it up
:thumbsup
I think I can get plexiglass cut to size at the local hardware store!

It's Banty I'm telling you! She spreads it everywhere! View attachment 1313987

I would very much like to see if they would actually hatch. . . . but. . I'm afraid it may be more heartbreak for Kiki. :(
And who knows if they would be born healthy? Then she would be faced with the decision of keeping a special needs pet or cull.:hmm just saying, some points to ponder. :idunno
I do think she should hatch SOMETHING though :old
Blamer :tongue

It's possible. I think the balut eggs make a cooler experiment, though, and Kiki can't resist those.
Ok...
I am going to try to think a little bit better this experiment.

I just thought!

Maybe it is not a good idea to try to do both types of balut this time.

Don't chicken and duck need different temps, humidity, and time/days?

I'm not ready for this staggered hatch crap.

I want to stick with the duck eggs because I KNOW they will work, but am thinking the chicken eggs might be better/easier?

:barnie
Correct. Choose one type only unless you fancy going nuts.
