➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Are these what you snow ppl use? For your frozen water problems?View attachment 1317451 View attachment 1317452
See @debid post below.
I use a prebuilt heated waterer. I'd like to switch to a nipple bucket so that they don't make such of it. Good to know a bucket deicer would work.

DO NOT BYC AND DRIVE.
THIS NEEDS TO BE A BUMPER STICKER!!! :gig:lau:gig
BTW, I wouldn't use an aquarium heater because the lowest setting is generally around 70F and they're just not built to run nonstop for months. Plus, most have warnings on the package about maintaining the water level within parameters and my whole reason for a 5g bucket is so I don't have to mess with water every day. I like being able to go away for the weekend.

Someone back a couple hundred pages said that ducks withstand an interruption in incubation better than chickens, didn't they? Ducks might be your destiny.

I have been reading up on duck incubation as they are going in the bator next and it seems that some people even feel that it is important to cool duck eggs occasionally during the incubation process

I do think I remember seeing this.
SO much has happened so fast these last few days I may have missed a few things here.
I need to start reading from the beginning again.

You should ask to take a selfie with him.
