➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

A thermometer directly under the heating element will show higher temp than the one flat on the wire bottom of the incubator. Makes it a good choice to have several located thru out the incubator and tabulate a quick average. I also move eggs around in the auto turner when I candle the eggs so they are not in the same location thru the entire hatch. I'm a "helicopter" hatcher. :lau:jumpy

They are about half the size of a chicken egg. See pic: L to R

I bought some quail eggs...and I still haven't figured out how a chick can fit in there. They are so small. Thanks B.

I wonder if it dropped because a cold front came through...it's 55 and freezing! I'm going to wake up and wait until it warms up a little outside then I will be opening the eggs. I want to know if we can tell about how old they were/what day these chicken baluts were on.
