➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

She has brought us back large, freshly killed squirrels on a couple of occasions. My husband, bless him, skinned the squirrels and cooked down the meat for dog food, as he hated to see a creature killed for nothing. The pups would have probably eaten it raw, but we felt better about cooking it.

I found a denuded squirrel. Turns out he couldn't figure out how to open it. Yeach! Took that one away. After watching me, he, Jake, would steal them from Prissy, the squirrel catcher, and take it to the back of the yard and make them disappear. No idea how many they disposed of.

Jake and Prissy :love

With the Borzoi, they shred collars. Nylon or leather. Chew toys that last minutes. Sometimes less. Since their necks are larger than their skulls, if the collars aren't chewed off, they are slipped or pulled off. Like putting a ring on a taper candle. Gravity will hold it until gravity pulls it off.

I trussed up the black one with a chest harness. He sat in the corner. By the time I got red's adjusted and he stood up, the front half was hanging. Had to piece and sew it together before we left. Knuckle head!

Cut a nylon leash in two while I was standing talking to a neighbor. Oops.

Fond memories.
Told you they'd eat me if I ever go over!

Just 'cause you are SO sweet! :love

Borzoi are not human aggressive. They have a strong prey drive and have been known to "catch" small dogs and cats. Well anything that is running, small and furry. Usually resulting in a fatality to the small things. Towards humans, they are aloof. If you pet them, they will ignore it. No jumpy, happy puppy stuff. They will lean on you. The borzoi lean. "You may pet me."

I should not bring my pocket pet (the rat) over is what you are saying right?

Biophilia definition
Definition of biophilia. : a hypothetical human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature.

@biophiliac - life lover. What a beautiful sentiment. This would imply you have a menagerie also.

Cheers!
LOL
I had to Google her name a long time ago.
I love our sweet lover of all things!

When you bring it over, introduce it. An accident may occur, but MUCH less likely. The Chihuahua that is under Crazy Lady's protection has been chewed up and spit out 3 or 5 times and still coexists. He is uncut based on the Vet's recommendation. HE is in love with the tall redhead, yet was never "able to". Size matters.

The black boy, 75 pounds, has gotten tired of the growling 10 pound Chihuahua several times and the discussion ended when we intervened. He squeals like a stuck pig when he is losing a fight (because there is nothing small enough for him to get his mouth around). And he fits in the mouth. Whole. Selkie was being nice, but teaching a lesson. Dummy didn't learn.
