Sorry about the hatching woes.

I've heard that quail eggs must be set very soon after being laid. I wonder how long those eggs were stored for before you got them.

Glad this thread is still alive.

I will probably never know the details of these eggs.
It's ok though.

it's perfect because it's a planet (well that's up for debate) and Mickey's dog.

Semi accident sounds absolutely terrifying, but glad everyone is ok.

I watch loads of cartoons, or the extreme opposite, documentaries. The new Voltron series on Netflix is pretty good. Sadly, most of what we can find online is re-makes of old cartoons and not the originals.

Everyone should read classic books. Everyone should read new books. Everyone should read more books in general.

Looking forward to seeing the baby quail. I hope there are two so they can have a friend, at least until you eat them!

My ducklings that I had to get after Kiki didn't hatch any are now a bit over a month old. My drake tried to kill one. They are mostly still in my house, but I built drake jail so the ducklings can try to go outside again, but the weather has been too cold for ducklings and we had snow again over the weekend. I am shaking my fist at the sky and ready for summer.

Oh, and I sold my first dozen eggs. Friends had been asking since winter when I had only 2 actually laying pullets and was buying most of my eggs at the grocery store myself. Now I have eggs to spare finally! I don't remember the last time I bought eggs.

oh and back to space stuff... I know Alan Shpard's daughter. She is quite nice and has some interesting stories from time to time, but as a kid her dad going to space was just her dad going to work just like your dad might go to the office or go to the factory. Crazy stuff.
