I can't blame my bator operating skills just yet. Everything I have tried (eggs) so far have been ghetto eggs.
I feel sad for this widdle quailie.

My Kiki inspired duckling integration is still a nightmare. The drake wants to kill them and bangs on the fence trying to get to them. Tonight's project was making another predator proof run so the ducklings can move out of my house as well as be exposed to the adult flock all day every day and hopefully no one gets eaten by the coyotes that have come back, again.
So I repurposed an extra large dog cage. I used the floor as a roof. One side is shared with the existing adult duck run, one side is blocked from wind by a pallet and another side blocked by the existing duck house. Inside the cage they have a plastic tote with a hole in the side as a house and I stuffed it with straw. They also have their kitty littler pan as a swimming pool.
The fiance walked by the meat bird coop last night and told me "Oh yeah, for my birthday weekend I also want another fresh, garlic/herb marinated, butter roasted skin chicken." We had one last weekend that was amazingggg.
