Chef is still in Kentucky...which is why I was able to bake in peace. I can't cook...but I can bake. He just usually takes over the kitchen and my baking projects. I gave up years ago. The fights were getting too out of control (dented stove, dented trash can, broken glasses....hey, I'm Italian, I throw things)![]()
DH says that's why his Dad told him not to marry an Italian, except he married my Italian ass and is great at ducking flying objects. You are in good company.![]()
Big Bertha & B'luttI think you should name one of the ducklings Balut.
It isn't too late to MAKE these 2 shell-less...I cheated, jumped to the endDang, thought they'd have hatched by now but have read ducks & chicks can take more than a day to hatch. It's HARD work for them and @KikisGirls, remember "patience"
Ok now that I know the duckies haven't hatched, I'll work reading backwards. Hope @cyrus does try hatching "shell less" eggs, that really would be interesting

...right... THIS could happen:I'm going to be in deep doo doo today trying to keep myself from forcing them out.

I will encourage Chef to do a road trip to a race event in Texas (I'll have to find out where the tracks are) and send him with several eggs. If he can plan one to Canada...he can plan one to Texas!![]()
Oh man. This hurts me just looking at him.I don't think it's from the biting. The coyote was smashing his head against the ground when I ran outside. The left side of his face is really sensitive and swollen so it must be what bore the brunt. I'm thinking he will need antibiotics and some pain meds. He is able to clean himself and is drinking water (I also saw him yawn) so his jaw is not broken - thank goodness! His left eye has a lot of goo on it but his eye is clear underneath. I think the area is too painful for him to clean. He did clean the other side of his face. He looks like a boxer that took a beating, but I think he's going to be fine.
Do you remember who it is that has the cat room in their house? You and Danger are troopers! I'm a cat mom myself and I would be a basket case if something like that happened (mine are all pampered indoor mushes). I've been biting my nails since he was attacked. I'm so glad he is home and will be ok!
This is painfully slow.Don't worry! I was totally in the same position as you. Because my humidity was fluctuating so much but I didn't want to accidentally shrink wrap the baby so that kept me from opening the incubator. It'll be alright!![]()
Great choices, everyone will be happy with dinner and you will have time to stare at the bator.View attachment 1461425 I went all out and even picked up some salad and garlic bread.
he is going to be so excited.
