➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Bunny update.

The one bunny that the dog had found (and most likely played with) has died. This was expected.

The other bunnies (including one that was 2 feet from the nest) all look to be alive and well in the nest and not in the exact same spot as before. There are definitely at least 3 of them, I think it's more like 4 or 5 but I'm not messing with the nest to find out.

I hope this means the mama came back last night and is lurking about and just hiding well since when I'm in the yard, the dogs are in the yard.

So for now, the plan is to let the living bunny beans be and try to keep my dogs away from that area of the yard.

Based on google image search I would estimate the bunnies to be about 2 weeks old. They are all fully fuzzy, can't really walk/hop, and their eyes don't really seem to be open yet. Definitely still dependent on mama and I don't think they could survive without her at this stage of life. I could probably hold them all in one hand. Maybe I can sneak a photo later depending how covered up the nest is.
I wouldnt touch them not because of diseases but what if the mom neglects them because someone is interfering with the nest. I dont know much about bunnies so i might be wrong about that.

Baby pile.

In other news, my incubator apparently dropped low in temp. The poor thing had almost quit moving but the temp is quickly climbing again. I don’t know what happened to cause it but hopefully we don’t lose the chick now. :fl

These babies are gorgeous! I think it's so neat that you had so many hatch together but the first external pipper isn't out yet! (Right?) if probably be freaking out, but I love watching how you're handling it! Great job & congrats! Do you know the gender of the blue sex links yet?

This last hatcher is our other blue sex link so I can’t compare yet! I was so sure I also had a light Brahma egg in there but surely that wouldn’t be all blue as well?
I am freaking out but I’m also bone tired so I figured if it wants to take its time it can. What’s really freaking me out is that it’s been really quiet, but I can still see it moving so it’s still alive in there. :) We’ve chipped as much as we can for the egg, and only pulled small pieces of the membrane, that had no veins, back to encourage hatching and that didn’t do anything. So it’s a waiting game of whether it is ready or not. :th

I've still got it stuck in my head. Love it.

Now I'm getting into that group, Home Free. Thanks to whoever shared that. They're great.

Been trying to catch up before I post, but having a really hard time...
I'm doing the same now.
I can't help myself either.:D
Before I finish cathching up...

Sleep tight, you’ve had way too many late nights recently. Don’t you know sleep is a critical aspect of health?! Might as well be drinking soda, tsk tsk. ;)

Btw, I will now be referring to them as Street and Court and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.
The gangstas:

:fl Please come out soon little first pipper!!! So what breeds did you use to create your blue sex link? And yeah I dobut there's a way for a light brahma Momma to produce a blue baby but... do any appear to have feathered legs or pea comb? I can't tell good from the pic but it looks like they have single comb. Pea is dominant so if you have a baby that's half brahma it should at least have a pea comb and feathered legs. (Assuming chick legs are feathered at one day old. Sorry not experienced with 1 day old chicks but hope that helps.)
