I can't remember if I mentioned this here of not. I think it is perfectly fine and normal for the broodies to get off the nest in our area this time of year. I've seen this...never sitting on the nest...with my own eyes...and all eggs hatch. I wouldn't worry about her too much. I haven't looked up your weather but am assuming it's similar to mine.This hen is off the eggs all the time!! And never even has them under her right.
