➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Well ya’ll, wouldn’t you know it, our newest broody who I could have sworn was not sitting correctly on the experimental eggs I gave her, because I needed the incubator, has four developing :th What am I going to do with all these chicks???
Would you like to trade pullets for one or more cockerels? I am serious!!!

This hen is off the eggs all the time!! And never even has them under her right. :th I swear if these things hatch then I’m just going to blare your song :gig
I can't remember if I mentioned this here of not. I think it is perfectly fine and normal for the broodies to get off the nest in our area this time of year. I've seen this...never sitting on the nest...with my own eyes...and all eggs hatch. I wouldn't worry about her too much. I haven't looked up your weather but am assuming it's similar to mine.

No liquid should be coming out of an egg when it hatches. It should be dryish.

Me

Me thinks your humidity has been toooo high.

Yes I think it because of my stupid mistake of counting the days since the eggs were layed not the days that I had them in the incubator :hit:th

Edit: thus raising the humidity too early
