I've been spending hours picking blackberries on our farm for the freezer (12,5 gallons so far), tending the garden
, taking care of the poultry flocks in this horrible heat, checking on the cattle herds in three locations
, trying new candy recipes for Christmas
, attending two funerals, and changing panties on a doggie in heat

Then include prepping meals, doing laundry and house work, and watching the incubatorfor a hatch on the 17th.... it is no wonder I've been behind on my favorite BYC thread.
Good news is that one of the Cayuga hens has decided to go broody and that 9 eggs is enough to hatch, three hens are sitting on eggs in the hen house and we are getting loads of tomatoes and okra now.
Now I'm going outside to load some compost into feed sacks to take to da sister for her garden.
