➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I wasn't allowed to buy books as a kid & couldn't figure out the dewy decimal system at the library, but this is one of those shows that would come on once a year way back before there was cable. It was my all time favorite. I bought the movie when I had kids & it totally freaked them out.
I was one of those nerds at the library on the ground with piles of books. I was only allowed to take 12 or 15 with me so I speed read as many as I could while I was there. We spent hours at the tiny Key Center library every week. We didn't have a television so it was our entertainment allotment for the week.
It's good to freak kids out every now and then ;)

I don't know either of these.

Interesting, I went to school with a kid named Jerry Pinkney, I must investigate.

Poor you. This must suck. I'm lucky enough to have medical people in the family (nurses and medical assistants) because I sympathy vomit at that kind of stuff. My sister made me vomit once just by making a fake vomiting sound.

They are my animals and I must be responsible for them no matter how often they trigger my gag reflex. Today I had to wear a ski mask while I cleaned the floors. I still have to check to see if the access is better or worse and work on the duck run. Ugh.

I had a special bag for books as a child. One time I managed to cram 42 books in there (mostly kids books).

I do it if I have to, but I'm not above offering bribes to get someone else to do it for me.

Favorite genre? :pop
I lost my physical book reading passion for a while (thanks internet/college) and recently found my love for it again.

I’m reading this sci-fi horror right now called “The Troop” about a boyscout troop that gets infected with a biologically engineered tapeworm.
It’s gnarly. I love it.
Were you the one telling me about this??? I still need to read it. I get caught up with reading the Dune series every now and then and still love anything by Roald Dahl. Plus, gotta throw some Stephen King trash in there now and again as well. Especially in summer during a soak in the trough (yes, I am trash).
