Kiki - Trader Joe's sell fertilized eggs. There are a few threads on hatching them too. Traders is on the west side of town. Seems like a 30% success rate? IIRC. I just downsized, so no chicks for me.

If you are into history, give the Hardcore History guy a try. Different spin on history. His take is Caesar was a genocide also. I'm with you on the fried stuff. Turns most of it to rubber. A good smoked meat will overload your taste buds. The pan roasted, using an iron dutch oven, cooked for several hours, will have the deer meat falling apart. A good tenderloin is delightful.

Cow and buffalo are tough, stringy meats. Whitetail is also. Axis, oryx or elk is a world apart. I've heard different stories on moose. Gator tastes like squid and is usually fried. The Louisiana calamari is rubber bands. The San Francisco calamari is a dream. Never had anything like it before. Drenched in butter.

Anything can taste great. It is up to the chef. Except squirrel head gumbo...
