I have a real wood table in chairs that I want to paint white too.
I have tried a few Home Depot white samples but none look white.

Sherwin Williams, White Dove and Benjamin Moore, Decorators White and Chantilly Lace are my favorite paint colors!

It looks like MDF with a vinyl overlay that has been stained? Stripping the color is out of the question but you could paint it and do a glaze on top. I recommend Sherwin Williams brand but i'm waiting on a call back from our rep to make sure you can use it on this piece. I'll message you the info when he calls!
