➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

It's not tile. She painted it with a stencil.
I've been looking into this myself.
I just bought an old house that I'm having moved here. It'll be a fairly inexpensive way to tile, and I can get exactly what I'm picturing in my head that way.

So, I thought I was missing something. Read through the last 20 pages to find it a retardus discussion. SMH

On a brighter note, I'm glad you also enjoyed Freakonomics. There may be hope. The cold must be affecting your brians. Move south. AC is optional.

I'm thinking the same thing. Who needs moisturizing and who is Cassandra?

Hmm. Weather station here says 29°C and 73%. Glad it's cooling off!!!
*Sigh* making me do the conversion;). Heat is relative. If you have a string of cool days, heat wave doesn't have to be that high to be uncomfortable (or dangerous). But after a week of 37°C/100°F, temperatures that "low" would be refreshing.

I'm with you, I never really understood the appeal of either of these. Even if I wanted to get into Dr. Who, it's too long and has too many inside jokes I don't get. Star Wars has always been boring to me.

I feel like it should be the other way around. The first few episodes should always be the best. That way you hook your viewers and get them invested in the characters. I quit reading books if I can't enjoy them. If the first ten chapters/episodes are garbage I'm not going to sit through them just to get to the "good" ones.
I love you too pug momma!

I chalk painted this old record console & hollowed it out to hide all my kids games in. It may not be your thing but just showing you so you could get the idea. Chalk paint covers extremely well if you've never used it before you'll be amazed how little it takes. I'm personally very happy with how mine turned out but I like the funky retro vibe it gives and I like pops of weird colors hence the celery green.View attachment 1472175
I love it!
Dd you put anything over the chalk paint?
Like a seal?

I was speaking Canadian, eh? I like to think I am a people person. :lau

We're absolutely dying here.
I'm sure most of you would laugh, but for us this is extremely hot. Plus we rarely have much humidity, and it's rather high.

I totally agree about books. If I am quarter of the way or more and not into it, then I will quit. But books are written and edited as a whole and by a single person. Pilot episodes do not always reflect the final direction of the show. Also, series like Doctor Who alternate between several writers. So some episodes may be more to your taste than others. I have a couple series that I now like very much, but that had really weak beginnings or the occasional terrible episode. So with television series, I try to stick with it a bit longer than I would for a book or movie, to see if it gets better once the actors and writers hit their stride.

Spoken like a true connoisseur. I watched the most idiotic show ever for like 5 seasons bc I was in between shows and had nothing I was interested in to sit down to each week. I happened to catch the 1st episode and decided to commit no matter what. I cannot believe I lasted as long as I did bc it was terrible. It was Once Upon a Time. Did anyone catch any episodes of that silliness? What was I thinking?:barnie
