➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

My tiny roo isn't very regal, per say, but he's still pretty.
I included a photo of my model hen. Seriously, every time you point a phone or camera at her, she poses. It's ridiculous.
That is too cute lol. Your rooster looks plenty regal, look at all those feathers! Good grief.

Thanks for the pics everyone, wish I could draw them all but I barely have motivation for one hehe. :idunno

I'm still digging on you doing an acid trip series. I'm thinking chick through adulthood in varying degrees of um, lucidity, shall we say? Especially with that awesome inky background you did for the other rooster piece.

I’m in a weird art funk right now. All the colored pieces I’ve tried lately are turning out horrible and it’s super discouraging.
I’m gonna go back to pen/pencil for a while before I totally burn out. :hit

I think @littleprairieheartsfarm has your amazing pic for you. That is a lovely and regal rooster!

I hear ya. I rarely finish anything. I start, do the best part, then lose interest and finish maybe never. If I remember correctly, you're allergic to oil pastels, right?
Such a bummer. I feel like you could rock that $hit.

Ya'll are fast typers!
:gig You are my sister again.

That is exactly how I feel. I could do so much more stuff if it wasn't hot enough out there to set glass on fire.
Great line! We hit 105 today.

Will locking her in a broody cage do something to break that habit? We have fake eggs but she seems to know the difference.
A hen that eats eggs won't change. She goes into a pot instead of sending her problem to another home.

So while I've been doing cleanup and baths today all the chickens including mom and 2 week old chick have been running around the yard together. Hiding under the same bushes and just acting like one big happy flock. No one has even looked cross ways at baby and mom; keep in mind they have been in the coop the entire time just with a divider to keep the others fro getting to the chick, but everyone could see her. Also mom is a top hen so she knows how to hold her own. Do you all think it would be ok to go ahead and let baby and mom sleep with the rest of the flock now?
Sounds like the transition has been made.

We’re alright! Just tired of the landlord making excuses on fixing it. I cannot wait until we can move out of this place. :barnie
As a landlord myself, he should quickly make the repairs or be in violation of your lease for leaving you to suffer in the extreme heat. Normal wear on ac happens and he is responsible for keeping the unit repaired. Besides that he can count the repairs on his taxes.

WOOT go Mex! You gotta spoil him now.
It is so damn hot outside, I can’t even imagine not having AC.
We were out there for 10 minutes and poor Triumph (the golden) was dying. We lost sight of him and found him sitting in the shade next to the door whining for us to hurry up and let him back in LOL.
Our dogs are doing the same. The heat is miserable for our pets. Potty breaks outside are much shorter now.
