➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

What about him has you following him?
I follow a lot of vet and rescue channels, he’s just one of them. Dr. Micha is particularly interesting though, being a vet with a “western” mindset working in a culture where animal neglect and cruelty is quite normal. His crass German humour and blunt way of speaking is hilarious too.
Unfortunately, his channel’s journey has just about come to an end since last month. He is finally moving back to Germany both for his sons’ educations, and because the work conditions are just too depressing and frustrating for one man to constantly battle alone. I will miss his videos greatly.

I am surrounded by mothers! :gig:love

Doctor didn’t know what bit me, as suspected. I have a very slight fever and he said the firmness/heat of the bite wasn’t good. I’ve got a 10 day round of antibiotics and I’m supposed to keep it iced and elevated, but it should be fine.
Guess I missed out on all the crazy spider drama! I was busy swimming and drinking beer. Overall, a good Monday.
I'm glad the doc thinks that this is all good to go and that you won't lose a limb after all.

A spider laid eggs under your skin when you weren't looking. Now we wait for the babies to spew out.

Also this is the inspiration you all need for your next art project, I'm certain this idea is far more exciting than whatever the doorknob group posted.

My sister had one of these lay eggs in her arm in South America. The cure was to wrap raw bacon around her arm every night. The larvae hatched, drilled out of her arm and into the bacon. She said it was very painful but still better than having a fly in your arm.

Thanks for adding another Continent I'll never visit to the list.:sick

Oh dang! That sucks, definitely has never happened here. Are the maintence crews for your area as slow and lazy as the ones here? :p

Mangoworms are even worse. They put botflys to shame!
(Warning, depressing and disgusting video)
Leave it to you, Tes. F-ing horrifying!

I've shipped many, many eggs and I would suggest you do not let them "rest" as so many say to do. Right to the incubator when you get them. My opinion is that riding in a hot environment on their way to you starts the embryo to develope and sitting on a counter or whatever for 24hrs in 70 degree temps could and will kill developing embryos. I think there's more risk than reward having them set and I've supplied alot of people with eggs on the gamefowl thread and all but one had very good hatches. And all went straight to incubator. Do how you want to do it just my suggestion
