➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Hair touched my arm... thought it was a botfly
Small itch on my neck... thought it was a botfly
A tree leaf touched me... THOUGHT IT WAS A FREAKING BOTFLY:barnie
When my random strand of hair touched my arm I think mites.
:sick

Haha. Parasites of any sort are so gross. Fortunately the Permetherin really works! It's a pain to deep clean the coop, but those suckers are dead in one treatment. I will repeat in a week to get any late hatchers, but all good so far.
Awesome!
Keep spraying to coop once a week for about 3 times. Maybe four....just to be sure you get all of the hatchings.

After 60 yrs of ticks I don't freake too much, used to be I couldn't sleep If I found one outside on me :old

yeah most years I find maybe 2 ticks in bed and a half a dz I feel walking up my legs and maybe 1 or 2 a year attached... I do nightly tick checks before bed....So far this year I haven't had any... :clap
the neighbors declared war on groundhogs and coons last winter so that may have helped... also the dog and I have been eating 6 eggs a day each.. the sulfur is supposed to help keep them away... the dog has been sleeping inside a lot and not out in the brush due to the heat/humidity, same with me... and the cat that would go out all day passed away. Just have an indoor cat.... no flea problem yet either. :wee
I am sorry for your loss.
:hugs

I don't have a tick problem in my yard, thank gosh because I would crap if I ha a tick crawling on me.

Will do. I'm also paranoid about picking up and moving my AGAIN broody every day with the mites, perhaps I will wear gloves, it will protect me from her attacks as well. I can't believe this bird is broody again. It's a hatchery Delaware. They have been bred for years for meat and egg production, why the heck is she the broody? Crazy bird. Maybe she needs a nice icy water bottle to snuggle with tomorrow. The other day I locked her out of the coop, then after about an hour of pouring rain I realized I probably should open the pop door and ALL the girls ran inside. Oops. They did have shelter available, but not the same.
