I have two more days before I can candle my Peking eggs so I’m hoping I just guaranteed they will all hatch as I just ordered some chicks and ducks from ideal. They should be here next Friday! I gotta go learn me how to raise a duck!

Not a white lie situation, but when the Ginger was a little kid a couple uncle/aunt family members would sit on him and tickle him until he was purple and couldn’t breathe. Sounds funny, except now his wife can barely touch him sometimes because he can’t stand ANY sort of ticklish feeling.

Yea, sit on your kid and tickle him until he’s crying and can’t breathe, what could go wrong?
I really hope I don’t mentally scar my future children somehow with something stupid like that.

True confession. When I was about 10 my bully BIL who is 10+yrs older than me used do the same thing, sit on me & tickle me till I couldn't breathe. Literally couldn't breathe, couldn't move, couldn't cry, just totally powerless sobbing silent wet tears. It was horrible & it was constant. To this day I'm not ticklish & am extremely claustrophobic. I cant believe my parents let him get away with that crap. For the record, he's almost 60 now & still a bully... Unbelievable! On the positive side, he knows better than to even look sideways at my kids.

He knows that nobody messes with my kids, so he's never even tried. My girls know that he's a bully & a few years ago he was picking on one of my nephews whos on the Aspergers spectrum. The poor kid was starting to frazzle which thrilled BIL to no end & my DD1 14 or 15 at the time lost it on him. I wasn't in the room to watch it all go down, but I heard BIL tell his side of the story & I heard DD1 tell her side of the story & by all accounts, it sounded like she verbally went for his jugular. I was so proud!!!

2 female and one male buff orpington and 3 female and one male Pekin. I’m ok with Thursday. I’ll swing by tractor supply to getnthe food and vitamins to have on hand and anything else I read about for emergencies.

Plan is to use my old quail setup for brooding and the pen can evolve into the duck house.
