I’ll try to explain as best I can.

While it’s entirely possible to be transmitted to humans, it is extremely unlikely to happen due to the pH levels of the body, especially in the anaerobic areas of the body as in humans it’s usually higher than the bacterium could use for reproduction. It’s not like the bird influenza where the pathogen mutated to accodomate the new host, instead it is more likely to fail to thrive. Unless you are sticking a bird where you shouldn’t be, it’s pretty unlikely that it would be transmitted to you.
Yea, but cow’s have the same Protozoa that causes STD’s in herds. I just asked the Ginger, he said they test all new bulls at the ranch for it and it’s a pretty big deal. But he also said that if you could get an STD from an infected cow, you’d think cow ranchers would know about it and be more careful?
