➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

For the record I can definitely see what you are seeing in these two that has you thinking "boy" but I'm going to stay optimistic. I hate the not knowing part! EE especially are hard to tell on, for me anyway, but I had one bought as a pullet when I got my first chicks that I had suspicions about so I got rid of it before I knew for sure bc I didn't want to disrupt the pecking order once they were established. Touched base later with the person I gave it to and they confirmed. My gut says you'll know for sure when you're ready to make decisions. Oh and you know on EE if you start seeing red wing leakage that's a telltale sign but that won't come til later.
The chipmunk EE is starting to get red leakage on its chest.

That's probably just its color. This will be closer to puberty I believe before you start seeing it. Just like several adult Roos of many breeds have red on the wings, the EE will get that too. It's just a way I've seen may "aliens" use when determining sex of EE and it's very accurate.

:barnieIt’s so confusing right now.
I know “they” generally say 6 weeks is best for sexing, but at what age will I really start seeing differences? 4 weeks? Am I already seeing them and I’m in denial?

It easy really easy to drive yourself nuts guessing gender, especially with sexed chicks :hugs:hugs:hugs
I bought ten last year and ever tiny little difference had me convinced they boys....actually ended up with 10/10 girls though as ordered.
